One week left to deadline - keep going!

There’s only one week left to enter your submission to the NanoString Spatial Omics Hackathon. Don’t wait until the last minute - submissions are due on May 3rd, 2021 at 5PM EDT. (Find out what time that is in your city)

Start your submission now

Starting a submission is a good way to make sure that your project meets the requirements. There’s nothing worse than getting to the deadline, only to realize that you’re missing a key component. Remember: once you submit a project, you can keep editing it as needed at any time prior to the submission deadline.

Prepare your video

Don’t forget: your submission must include a video showing your submission. Too often, participants leave this video to the last minute without realizing that it’s an important way to showcase your work for the judges.

Pro Tip: Don't wait until the last minute to upload your video. Due to file size, format, and your Internet connection, uploading a video to Facebook Video, YouTube, Vimeo, or Youku could take anywhere from a few minutes to several hours. We cannot stress this enough! There have been many times a submission becomes ineligible due to errors with video rendering and uploading.

Submission checklist

Run through this list before you sit back from your project:

  • Are you creating an open source solution that can help scientists interpret data and learn new things from a large kidney dataset assembled by the GeoMx Digital Spatial Profile?

  • Have you created a submission video? Does your video meet the competition guidelines?

  • Did you include one of the non-copyleft OSI-approved open source licenses within your submission?

Be sure to read through the official rules more than once. Or better yet, have a friend or colleague provide a second pair of eyes to make sure you didn’t miss anything.

You are almost to the finish line!
